2 b or not 2 b???

ok. i met this guy @ xmas an we hit it off an going out within a month. The first few weeks were great but then cracks started 2 show, just silly stuff 2 begin with like being lazy sometimes and not completely taking interest but then getting worse. we then ended up splitting last week. He says he loves me, will try again and b better, and in fairness, when we were together and happy we were REALLY HAPPY. but now i dont no what 2 do, ngo back, try again and see where we go, or act my age (18) and life life a little bit more. He was my first time, but that isnot an issue, its like im split in half. one half says yes, the other no, i just dont no what 2 do! plz help, i dont want 2 get hurt but i honestly dont want him 2 get hurt either
