A poet said of poetry: ‘there are things that are important beyond all this fiddle’ Marianne Moore- ‘Poetry’?
To what extent does poetry depend for its effect on all the ‘fiddle’ of poetic conventions such as metre, rhyme, rhythm, imagery, a specialised poetic language and conventional poetic genres?
