Can hiv hide let me know right away !!?
You can be infected with HIV and test out negative for the first 21 to 30 days after exposure, at the most. After that, the new, ultra-sensitive tests will pick up HIV antibodies. Furthermore, if you took the Western Blot test, and the DNA by PCR tests {which are used to rule out "false positives"}, and those expensive, sophisticated tests didn't pick up the presence of HIV in your body, you can rest ured that YOU ARE NOT INFECTED. I used to be a homeless IV heroin junkie from 2001 to 2003. During that time, I shared unwashed syringes and other drug paraphernalia with many different drug users, many of them with terminal-stage AIDS, Hepatitis C and Hepatitis B. I stopped doing drugs on August 2003; since then I've got tested 15 times for HIV, and 3 times for Hepatitis A, B & C. I've come out negative for HIV on all 15 test {done at different laboratories}; last time was on March 2007. I tested out positive for Hepatitis C on July 2003; took the Hep. C DNA by PCR test; it turned out I had Genotype 3 {the rarest of Hep. C viruses, and tho one that is easily curable with a 6-month course of Pegasys & Rebetol}. Since the odds of me contracting HIV were virtually 100%, I've asked many doctors if there's a chance of the virus being hidden and not coming out in the tests. Time after time the answer has been a big NO.
