My battery on advent 9617 laptop will only last 1 hour is this normal?

yep and it depends what ur doing ---- the more u stress it the less battery life u have videos are as bad as playing games--- dont know how old ur pc is --- but u might want to upgrade to the better battery around 150 bucks
